Dave Matthews Band David J. Matthews - vocals Carter Beauford - drums Stefan Lessard - bass Boyd Tinsley - violin Leroi Moore - sax Dave Matthews Band is... well... jazz rock? College rock? Lyrical jam band? Whatever! They've been my favorite band since high school. It's amazing how vocals, guitar, bass, sax, and violin can blend together - but that's what Dave Matthews does. The band is famous for improvisation (they never perform their songs the same way in any concert); this is also why their concerts are always sold out and they always win Best Live Act in some awards thing or other. (I got to watch them in San Francisco, May 2001. WOW!) Besides the fantastic music, I love the way they're "terrorists of love", as Dave once said. They want to spread themes of love and peace through their music. No negative stuff you see in most bands these days. They're peacemakers and I love it :) Our band covers a lot of DMB songs coz they're great to learn and fantastic to jam. But nobody can do it like Dave can. I love almost all of their songs, and I'm just mentioning a few here. Hope you get to discover them... nobody's ever regretted me forcing DMB on them, trust me.
